The Furnaces North America (FNA) show, held in Indianapolis, Indiana, between 3rd – 5th October 2022 returned for the first time since Covid -19. Like Americas vast landscapes, America has a vast knowledge into the furnaces industry. With companies and attendees attending the event from across the globe, the event covered a substantial about of ground in the relatively short amount of time.

With the industry facing sustainability challenges in the USA, as well as cost deficiencies in Europe, there is a number of challenges and questions for the industry. The FNA, organised by the Metals Technology Institute, held a number of technical sessions where industry experts were about to discuss and present on their challenges.

The Technical sessions discussed the topics of: Maintenance, Equipment, Energy, Compliance, The Future, Quenching, Ferritic Nitrocarburising, Productivity, Metallurgy, Cleaning and more.

Furnaces International attended the event partnering with the FNA’s Media representatives, Heat Treat Today. Make sure to keep an eye out for the December issue of Furnaces International where a follow up on the event will be featuring.
